Karma and stuff…

I had a post here yesterday about something pretty negative and today I decided to delete it. I truly believe that what goes around comes around and in my life this has been true time and time again. For some reason I had a lapse in judgment and let someone from my past get to me yesterday and knock me off track. Luckily a guardian angel spoke to me today (about something unrelated!) and reminded me of who I am by just being who they are.

I’ve always been kind of a “good kid” and try to live my life on the right side of the track. Through my training with the DSWA I’ve been learning so much about myself, and how working more on who I am being instead of what I am doing will bring me fulfillment and joy and even prosperity. Think about it. If more business people, parents, sisters, brothers, and friends like me worked more on who they were being than their to-do list, imagine the world we’d live in!

I am about to take on a bigger role with one of my local DSWA chapters, and yesterday when I was talking to Louise Umeki, who is our Regional Chapter Director, she was concerned that I might find my new role taking time away from my personal business, Story Time Felts. I basically said nah no problem, I am already laying the groundwork to delegate most of the tasks to others I’ve seen with special talents in our group.

Later I thought about it though and realized how much I truly GET from my involvement with this great organization. It may take some time for me to do the things I do with it, but I GET so much out of helping the other direct sellers and their businesses. It gives back to me time and again in knowing we are providing them with the support they need to be truly successful in their businesses. I don’t really gain directly in a tangible way, but I gain in my heart and soul and feel good about what we are doing, making a difference in not only these ladies’ lives who come to our meetings, but in the lives of their customers, hostesses and recruits as they take the training and support we offer and implement it in their business. It is so worth the time involved every month.

Just coincidentally, lately I’ve been attracting quality people into my life and business in the form of new friends, customers, colleagues and other contacts who are appearing to me in the nicest ways! I am loving the fun that networking is bringing and business is great. I’d say that staying on the positive track, working on putting my core values into action every day, and being the type of person I’d like to do business with, is the direction I need to stay in.

For anyone who caught the negative post before I deleted it, here’s a zap of memory eraser! Zzzzzzzzzap! :)

Until next time...
