omgggg that is SO SO SO COOL!!!!!!
I’ve bought felts from Karen for a very long time! My very favorite is the solar system set. We played with it for HOURS!!!!
I bought a dress up doll for my daughter maybe 10 years ago??? And each kid as they grew played with it! The quality is AMAZING!!!
The Calendar is becoming a huge favorite of mine since I have been using it to teach my 5 year old daughter the days of the week. It makes it fun when we change to a new month and she can change how the weather is outside each day.
Our homeschool was given the United States Map Felt Board Set as a gift. My two boys are teenagers and I wasn’t sure how they would react to a felt board, but they LOVED it! My 13 year old son loves to take all out and put it all into proper order. He loves the old western layout the most I think.
I was totally AMAZED at the quality of the cutouts. The felt is not that thin crap that tears easily! Good Stuff!!
I am perusing http://www.funfelts.com for more stuff!
The Food Pyramid is great to use with older kids so they can learn their food groups. It also helps with kids learning what is junk food and what is healthy.
I love the Cloth Dolls - would love to have a collection of each one for my grand daughters! They are of great quality cloth, and do not tear like paper dolls of olden days. The multicultural felt people are such great teaching tools too!
Ia ctually love all the religious ones esp Noah simply because this is an awesome way to keep kids in sunday school engrossed
I like the Classic Nursery Rhymes Toggle Book. It is very portable and convenient to have for travel. Also, it is just the right size for my toddler to be able to open & play with all by themselves. The zipper case gets almost as much playtime as the board.
We like being able to do the classic familiar nursery rhymes as well as make up our own new stories about what the characters are doing.
I love the bear weather/dress up doll! Such a great product:-)
I teach a nursery class for 18 months to 3yr old- I purchused “The Old Lady That Swallowed The Fly” I can not tell you how quiet the room gets when The flannel board comes out!! The children love it as well as the adults
Thanks for making great products!!
I love all the products of course. But my favorite is the pirate island set. The kids in my classroom enjoy it plus my grandson and I have a ball with it. Having fun felts in my classroom helps the children to extend their dramatic play.
I am also crazy about the old lady who swallowed the fly set. It so much fun for me and the kids in my classroom. We have taken to feeding her all sorts of things.
The religious easter set that I received from Karen was a big hit. A true way to bring stories to life is through Fun felts.
shopannies@Yahoo.com
I love the toggle books! My 2-year old son loves to play with any felt figure on it and turn it over and over again. Thanks!
Still loving our Three Kittens set and our Farm Aninmal Mitts! Great giveaway!!
Also became a fan on your Facebook page!
I was looking for a hands-on way to teach my preschool students about the weather. I ordered the Boy Weather Bear because it looked so cute! My students LOVE it! The clothes are adorable and I especially like the window pieces that allow you to change the seasons. Each week the kids ask whose turn it is to be the Weather Helper!
We love the Story Time Felt products at our home…they are a great addition to our homeschool! I find the Toy Counter Math set to be very useful in showing math concepts in a fun and engaging way. My kids understand what I’m showing them quicker and more concretely because they can visualize and move the physical pieces around themselves. They are also more likely to work at it longer because it’s fun! =-) Some of our other favorite products that get pulled out a lot are the felt dolls (always a hit) and the Dinosaur set.
I love the felt Twin dolls. My daughter is half-Korean, so I love that they look like her! Also, she really likes dressing them up in their different outfits. And the bag is perfect for travel!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Became a Facebook fan… =-)
My favorites are the look-like-me paper dolls. I think they are so cute and original. The granddaughters really love them too. There are a lot of cute clothes and accessories with them. I like to play with them as much as the kids!
I’ve really enjoyed the fun time felt set that I reviewed. My daughter and I have been having a great time learning together! Thank you
I’m a facebook fan! (Erinlowmaster)
I love Story Time Felts! I have the Book of Mormon Quiet Book which I didn’t assemble in a book and I love it. I backed each piece seperately and then have a pocket for the pieces. I can use the stories seperately this way. I have used it at home and at church. The kids love to help with flannel board stories.
I LOVE all your products, especially the cottage to tell stories..there was an old lady too,the tree little kittens….all of them are great!!! HATS OFF TO YOU!!!!! unfortunately i haven’t got any.I live in Argentina and haven’t been able to buy one.
best wishes.
Mrs Lilian.
Nice idea, very cool blog. My favorite piece is the solar system. Or I should say Dylan’s favorite set.
Thanks,
Kerri
I love the Christmas Advent calendar. I’ve never had an Advent calendar for some reason. I’ve always thought they were a really wonderful tradition and have vowed every year to get one, but for some reason it’s just never happened. I like the idea of having one like the Fun Felt one because it’s “permanent” and can be used year and after year. I think it’s important for families to have certain rituals to look forward to every holiday.
I’m a Facebook fan!
I have really enjoyed the scripture stories. It is such a fun and easy way to make the stories “come alive”. I also like how kids can be included in teaching the lessons. They are so excited to help put the figures up on the board.
I really like the United States Map Felt Board Set. It seems like a great way to learn about geography and history! I like that it’s more than just a puzzle of the states, but also helps kids to learn about capitals, symbols, rivers, and more. This is a much more interesting way to learn about these things than just rote memorization.
I wish I had daughters because I love the paper dolls! I have fond memories of playing paper dolls with my sister as children. Back then, of course, the paper dolls were made of paper (duh!), and we had to bend down the little tabs to keep the clothes on. They didn’t always stay on very well! Fun felts would be great because it seems like the clothes would stay on better. And there’s such a big variety of outfits.
Karen,
I teach nursery ages 18 mos. To 2yrs old. I love it, but it’s hard to keep these littles ones eyes on me for 2 hours. I recently purchased “the old woman who swallowed a fly” felt activity and I am so pleased with it! The kids LOVE it. It keeps their attention, they actually sit still while we sing the song and they love taking turns putting the animals in the old lady’s mouth! It’s so fun!
Thanks so much!
Kristin
I’ve gotten a few things, and I loved the felt “busy” books. also we love the old women who lived in a shoe. we use it in a music class I teach with ages newborn to six. thanks!
Sarah
My favorite Storytime Felt product is the Just Like Me Doll. Each of my three oldest daughters (now 10, 8, & 6 years old) received one of these dolls as a Christmas gift at the time each one was 4 years old. When my youngest is four, I will buy one for her as well!
the best story teller felt set is the toy store, I used that to teach my daughter to count and she used it to learn all her basic mathmatics on her own. I was foolish and donated it to a preschool and I know I think I might need to buy another one so my youngest can get a handle on math.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider felt is my favorite. Love Cullen’s video story when the Ms. Spider asks Mr Turtle: “How are you today?” And Mr. Turtle replies in his low turtle voice: “Oh, I’m alright.” Cracks me up to this day.

I love all the stuff that i had purchased from karen my favorite so far is the princess tales n cd!
I am a preschool teacher and we use your dress up dolls everyday.
The Bible Felt by Betty Lukins. We have purchase 5 sets for our grand children. They use them al the time and when they have to give talks in Sunday School they use the stories so the other kids can see the story.
Our children us them to teach their own children and in our church.
I cut them out so they really appreciate that part of the gift, that I can give of myself as part of the gift.
Although we hav not had a chance to try a lot of different products, we really enjoy the “weather bear” set. My little one gets a lot out of it just by trying to put things in place on the bear, while my older daughter enjoys making up combinations of outfits, and creatig scenarios for them!
I’m a FaceBook fan, too!
I use these in our preschool room for Sunday school. The kids LOVE the interaction and they are a fabulous way to share Jesus with them in a manner they understand. I also use them at home in our schooling; I LOVE FELT!!!!!
I have purchased several Fun Felt items through Karen, but I think my favorite is the Quiet Book I bought for my 3 year old grandson. I enjoyed putting it together and he LOVES taking it to church. Thanks, Karen!
My family and I LOVE the fun felts. I purchased the bible story packet and they have been a really great tool for teaching my child the bible stories. Best of all he can manipulate those and help with story and learn by completing the story hand on.
Thanks,
Kristel
I love the Dress up Weather Bear… My daughter loves this and we take the storybook felts to church because it is the perfect quiet book to use and learn while we are there. WE LOVE STORYTIME FELTS!
May Canadians enter? I love the Cottage Classics Felt Board Set. Stone Soup is one of my favourite stories to share with kids, and the other stories in the set are fun as well.
I would love the Princess Felt Book. I have 5 grand children, one is a girl. We have tons of trucks, boats, planes, bugs, and monsters. So to have pink and princess toys is a blessing. I would love to tell her stories using the princess characters.
I am a fan on Facebook.
3 years ago, I sponsored a young girl in Brazil.I can only send things to her in a 5×7 envelope. She wrote to me that she did not have any dolls….so,I sent her 2.It was wonderful to send an ethnic doll to her. Thanks so much for your selection.Andresa loves to play with “her” doll and “the one that has blonde hair like you”.Thanks!!!
i like so many! i will pick the i can tell time becuz i believe it helps the child learn better if he/she is able to move the hands and “get a grasp” of how it is done rather than simply looking at pictures in a book. they are better able to “see” the movement and make sense of it.
I do counseling with children and use the sculpture stories alot. Its a great way to start a story telling session where I begin the story with one piece and the child continues to add on other pieces as they develop their own stories.
I love the just like me doll. I think my niece would love to have this. At 2 children are really just learning about themselves and I think it would be grea to see what she does with a doll that looks like her.
OMG !Freddie Frog (Figures to tell Froggy Gets Dressed )
my daughter who is now 9 absolutely loved this book. I wish I had this when she was younger. I think this is a great way for thechildren to get involved with the book. She just loved when the mom would yell Freddy and then he would yell….whhhaaattt.
I am loving my Very Hungry Caterpillar set. The kids adore it and use it to retell the story. Karen even though I live in Michigan I love your website and newsletter. So very helpful. Thank you.
I love the Nursery Rhyme set that I got. My daughter loves retelling the stories. I really want the Tall Tales set for my classroom so I am waiting for it to be a little cheaper.
I would love the Rainforest Felt Board habitat scene. I could use this to show the rainforest habitat and the diversity of plants and animals that live there. I would use this in my science class as well as with my grand kids.
I work in a developmental preschool and so love the felts that support storybooks, like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See? Thanks for making such great products at a reasonable price!
I am always looking for toys made in the US for my children as well as toys that have an educational value.
I was very happy to come across Fun Felt. Last Christmas I purchased the fun felt dress up dolls for my then 5 and 7 year old. These are great and durable and they were a huge hit.
For my then 2 year old son I got him the dress up bear. What a neat item this is.
I add the dress up dolls or felt bear to my kids homeschool schedule. We use a system called Workboxes and I place of the felt items in there in what I call a “fun box” it helps add fun to our school day.
I will definitely be purchasing again and I have sent many fellow workbox users to Funfelt!
Wow, everyone!! I am loving reading all of these! Thank you!

With two active boys (3 and 5) our favourite has to be your Bugs and Insects Activity Books. Can’t wait to make Flower Pot Pie - thanks for the inspiration

I love the fairy tale castle felt board. My 2 girls love princess stories. They are getting more and more creative and now love making up their own stories. Even their cousin who visited made up a great story about dragons and fire. They love it. Thanks for supporting their creativity.
We have the Create a Face and we have enjoyed it over and over again. My daughter who is now 9 still plays with it and shows it to any friends that stay the night and they play with it. Not only that, but my teenager (17) and her friends play with them too. It’s amazing to watch such a wide variety of ages enjoy such a simple toy.
I’m a Facebook fan.
The entire product is great. Love how the eye and hand coordination development for my daughter. There is a creative way we can teach through Fun Felt product. Would say at this time my favorite is the International Customs (for paper dolls) and Bed Time Stories, but there are so many other items that we will be purchasing in the future for our daughter. We have shared two paper dolls (Jessica and Rosa) to our daughters friends and they have enjoyed playing with them.
Will be buying the calendar next.
I love the cloth dolls. You were so helpful when I couldn’t make up my mind which ones to buy for my granddaughter. You also suggested getting the cloth board, which was just perfect
for her to play with them. They really stick nice. And she
can’t tear them. She is only 3. I also bought the bears. She loves playing with them also.
I bought the dolls and clothes for my granddaughter for her birthday last summer and she has enjoyed them so much. I loved the career clothes they are so cute. He daddy is a policeman and so that was one of her favorite outfits. Last night her mommy told me that if I wanted Christmas ideas to check out the Bible Story felts. She knows that my graddaughter will love those too. This summer she would take a blanket out under the tree and play with her dolls. oops. that was more than two sentences.
I would choose the Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly - My children loved that when they were little. Now it’s my time to teach, read the story to my grand kids. I think using the felt board is even more fun since it’s not only visual but also tactile. I can just hear their giggles now!
I love all the products because my grandchildren play and respect them! They take them out and put them back in the books or carriers. Right now they are playing with the large board and arranging the nursery rhymes on it. Boy do they have an imagination on what to do with the cow and the wolf and the three little pigs!!
thank-you for hours of play and creativity!!
chris
I used my Brown Bear set with my 3 year today. They loved it like I do. It was again, again. Great activity and a great way to teach colors.
We loved the Little Red Hen felt story pack. My daughter used it for her school project and reenacted the nursery ryhme with the felts! Too cool.
I really like all the felt story boards
We used to have some “less decorative” versions when I was a small child. I remember we had a Three Little Pigs version. This just brings me back to all those hours of great story telling. What a great time it was to be young!
I love them ALL! But, if I had to choose, I guess it would have to be a toss-up between The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear. My reasons being they are such great hands-on teaching tools! A little boy in my daycare several years ago was very limited in his talking, comprehending, etc. After only the 2nd time of reading the stories and letting him and the other children take turns using the felt to illustrate, he begged every day to use the sets. So, I started using it also as an incentive in various ways. Story Time felts are AWESOME! PS: I have also been a ST felts consultant
for a long time, right Karen?!LOL!
I just became a FB Fan!!
I am married to a meterologist (weatherman) and I love your Boy Weather Bear! He, my husband included, goes to some pre-schools, kindergarten and 1st grades in schools and this helps him bring a “weather buddy” along. He can use this as a prompt to help explain the basics to the children and keep their attention for all the seasons of the year. Thank you for such a wonderful item!
I would use the Monsters Galore Felt Board Story. Now that Where the Wild Things Are is coming to the movie theaters, my grandkids can act (using the felt pieces) the story out.

I LOVE the Cottage Classics and Grandma’s Favorites Duo (not sold together as a set). This was my first purchase almost 20 years ago. These classics stories are great for children from 1yr to 12yrs. The older the child is, the more details the story has. I love seeing the older kids interact with the younger ones. Many times the kids use pieces from the different stories to make up something completely new! The colors are so vibrant and the backgrounds are so inviting. I never have to worry about the pieces getting dirty and worn because I know I can wash them anytime with my laundry. I always let the children play and put the pieces away, knowing that if a piece goes missing I can always order just that 1 piece instead of having to buy the whole set. Talk about kid friendly!
I have been reading all the comments and I am so thankful I did. Years ago i bought my granddaughter the dress up doll set from fun felt. Samantha just turned 13. I asked her about it this week and she gave them back to Grandma for her preschool class. The kids adored it today. It says a lot of the quality of the product. The doll and clothes looked great. Wonderful product.
I would loce the “Blonde Girl Dress Up Felt Paper Doll with Clothes” so I could play dolls with my grand daughter. There are very few cut out dolls to play with today. When I was a kid I loved these cut outs.
I absolutely LOVE the personalized “Just Like Me” dolls! I got one for a three year old and she plays with it and the non-personalized dolls to create her “family” (Mom, Dad and her) and engage in play. In fact, I am planning on getting personalized Mom and Dad dolls for her this Christmas. She also has the weather bear and some of the individual story sets and she loves them all!
I would like to use the Aesop’s Fables Activity Book and CD for my little grand daughter. Many times, today, we don’t share the old fables. It seems they have become a lost art. I can imagine her sitting mesmerized while we talk about the stories, using the soft felt books.
clenna at aol dot com
I work at a Public Library and I use a couple of your flannel board stories with preschoolers in our storytime program. I love them because they come all cut out and ready to go. They’re very colorful and attract the children’s attention. No more cutting out contruction paper and putting flannel on backs of pieces for me!
I would love to have the The Little Match Girl Felt Board Story Figures. I loved that story when I was little. I would like to use it the week of Christmas. I think my grand kids would appreciate the story and the visuals that the felt board figures would demonstrate.
ikkinlala - Sure Canadians can enter! It’s easy enough to send an ipod up there!
Everyone - Thanks so much for the comments!! Keep em coming, you can enter as many times as you like and I will be choosing the winner randomly!
You’re warming my HEART! All I can think about is the children whose lives we are ALL touching!!!!!
Karen
What a cool ipod! Count me in, I’d love to win.
I’m a fan on FB
I love the Tropical Rain Forest Felt Board set because it is so colorful and lends itself to rich story-telling. The beauty of the native plant life is incredible, and I like being able to share the pictures to look at, the felt plant shapes to touch, and even talk about wild foods that come from the rain forest…and then we sample raw chocolate/berry treats we make! The felt allows children to use more of their senses in learning, which really helps in building literacy.
I rediscovered my love for the Create-a-face today when I had the idea to put the pieces on pumpkins for Halloween… how fun! I originally fell in love with them because my nephew had a really hard time expressing his feelings when he was going through some big stuff, and playing with the faces and creating different emotions provided some talking opportunities that were priceless in helping him.
I also just became a fan of fun felt for kids on facebook.
I’m a facebook fan!
My favorites are-
The math manipulatives, because being able to see and touch and count make learning much easier for visual thinkers. Starting with simple numbers and counting, to grouping and sets which leads into multiplying and dividing, the manipulatives are a fun way to work with numbers.
And the ‘paper’ dolls! Real paper dolls get torn up, the tabs rip off and the clothes slip off or shift around. Even the sturdy wooden magnetic type got broken in my house, making a cute princess into a jagged, splinter covered danger zone! The felt dolls won’t rip, they don’t need tabs and the clothes won’t slide off and they are soft, lightweight and quiet so they’d be great for the diaper bag, in the car, or even in church!
I love the Can Do Felt Activity Book. I bought it for my daughter about 12 years ago! She loved it, as well as my next child who played with it for many years. It’s a nice quiet activity that can entertain children during times of waiting. Did I mention that the pictures are adorable?
I gave the faces to my grandson. Now his little brother is playing with them (high quality) and this year he used it to “make his own pumpkin all by himself”! He was THRILLED! (And so were mom and dad since they didn’t have any of the mess of cleaning out the pumpkins!)
THANKS for entering everyone! According to random.org, #66 Rebecca Cordova is our WINNER!!!! Rebecca I’ll be emailing you for your address. Congratulations!
