Things I Learned While I Had the Flu

  1. My husband Greg is reliable and diligent during a crisis.
  2. The world will not stop turning if I stay in bed half the day. Or more.
  3. My 4 year old is a great napper when he has company.
  4. Things marked “urgent” really aren’t so much.
  5. Just when you think you can’t live through another coughing fit, you do.
  6. Greg would swim through shark infested waters to bring me a lemonade.
  7. My business really can run itself for a week or two with minimal help.
  8. There aren’t a lot of TV shows that interest me any more, despite 100s of channels. Or maybe I just can’t find them.
  9. It takes time to recover not just in body but in appetite, energy, and eyeballs.
  10. I have the best husband in the world! He put up with my crabby, hacking, miserable self without one complaint AND ran the household without me for nearly 2 weeks. THANKS HONEY!!
