Hi everyone!
It would be just like me to start something I don’t have time to keep up so I apologize! I am determined to contribute to this blog regularly, I just love it so much. Realistically this is the busiest season of the year for my home party business so quiet time to think and write has been scarce!
I am happy to say that the company I am with, Story Time Felts, showed an 80% increase in sales for October over last October! We are all so excited to see this growth. I know on the surface it is because people are selling more - but why? We don’t have significantly larger numbers of active consultants than before, but the ones we do have are selling more! This makes me feel so hopeful for the future! I myself have been regularly doubling or in some cases tripling my own sales from last year.
For me, it has been a combination of things. At the root of it all I have to say has been not only the high level training but also the inspiration I’ve received through my involvement with the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance. There is something about being involved in an organization that is so large yet so intimate, helps so many women every day, and gives me the tools I need to not only be successful in my personal business, but be a better leader to those on my team, that just drives me to want more, to be more. I’ve been re-energized, motivated and excited and that has led to doing more on the “outside” - home parties, vendor events, networking meetings. All these have led to more sales and sponsoring. I’ve been meeting more people and experiencing more “IRL” business than I have in a long time and it’s great!
Coupled with that I have to give credit to the SEO work I’ve done thanks to Cricket Walker’s Search Engine Optimization classes. I’ve been taking this free email-based class for about a year and a half and even though I haven’t truly made a dent in all the pages on my website, I have worked on enough to see definite results! I am meeting parents, teachers, childcare providers who never would have ever found out about our product if it weren’t for the internet. Thousands of people a month are learning about us because of my website, and 1000s more children are getting to experience the felt, something they might not ever have gotten to experience otherwise!
It is an exciting time. I’ve had many vendor events, home parties and networking meetings and although I do have to say my housekeeping has suffered (something’s gotta go, right?), I am really loving it all!! I can’t wait to get to the point of being able to pay someone to do the dirty work!
Thanks for keeping up with me! I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving! I have so much I am thankful for this year!
Until next time...
